White paper — AI Hospital 2.0 serving the Silver Economy

31 pages, 34 sources, zero slideware. Cloud-edge-embodied architecture, a four-pillar business model and the 2026-2030 regulatory trajectory for European nursing homes — co-authored with Prof. Ya-Qin Zhang (Tsinghua AIR). In French.

Eighteen months to integrate a hospital. Ninety seconds to detect a fall. That is the gap this white paper sets out to close.

We are publishing “AI Hospital 2.0 serving the Silver Economy” — a fully reworked edition co-authored with Prof. Ya-Qin Zhang (Chair Professor, Tsinghua AIR; former President of Baidu) and the MedicalCity strategy & innovation team. The document is in French.

The diagnosis: structural, not cyclical

  • 7,400 French nursing homes (EHPAD), 590,800 residents, 22,060 positions vacant for more than 6 months — a shortage no hiring plan will close;
  • a staffing ratio of 0.62 FTE per resident against a 0.8 target — 80,000 positions to create;
  • 77% of public nursing homes running a deficit.

Meanwhile, the technical paradigm has just shifted: Tsinghua’s Agent Hospital reaches 93.06% accuracy on MedQA — above human experts (~87%). And the European Digital Omnibus opens a unique regulatory window until 2 August 2028 to pre-validate and obtain CE marking.

The thesis

The AI Hospital is not yet another SaaS product. It is a cloud-edge-embodied infrastructure, where value is created in the coordination between the cognitive agent, the embodied robot, the physical sensor — and the human caregiver, who stays at the centre.

Inside the document

  • the 8-layer reference architecture, from HDS infrastructure to the embodied layer;
  • a four-pillar business model (SaaS + usage + RaaS + B2G) with a detailed ROI: +€128,724/year for a 100-bed facility;
  • an honest reading of the clinical evidence: what RCTs validate — and what they do not validate yet;
  • the running case of Mrs B., 87, GIR 3: a fall detected at 06:42, a nurse in the room 90 seconds later;
  • the 2026-2030 roadmap, from institutional framing to CE marking.

And one non-negotiable principle: the enforceable right to a human. Any resident may, at any time, require fully human care. AI prepares, translates and orchestrates; the physician consults.
